Little Girl Calls 911 for her 'Hurt' Stuffed Animal

Calling in for another emergency!

A little girl had two Colorado police officers rushing to her house to help her with her "hurt" stuffed animal, and everyone is just in "awwe."

The little girl, named Natalie Coulter, was just playing one day on one of her mom's old cellphones, unknowingly that she has dialed an emergency number that led to a call to the police.

According to Natalie's mom, Brittany Coulter, she actually gave Natalie a dead phone that she used to have for her to play around with and pretend that she is calling somebody. She added that she never expected she will accidentally make that call to the police with a very small, yet cute, emergency matter since the phone was old and it was already not working. 

The phone was already deactivated for years now, and as the call went through with the police, Natalie reported that she was having an "emergency" with her stuffed animal, saying it was "hurt."

This emergency call was indeed the cutest thing everyone can find on the Internet and has sparked conversations among social media users. 

Cops who were nearby Natalie's address, Officer Dane Stratton and another co-officer, hurriedly tracked the call and made a visit to the little girl's house. 

Fort Collins Police Service in Colorado was quick to trace the call to an address and investigate about the emergency situation Natalie reported to find out what is happening. 

The audio call of the incident was released by Colorado's police department on Wednesday. In the released audio, you can hear Natalie calling in and reporting how her stuffed animal was "hurt" and sustained an injury. Her report grew concerned with police officers. According to the statement released by Fort Collins Police Service on their Facebook post that was published Friday, Natalie hung up without saying a word to the dispatchers, so police officer Stratton and his co-office who was on duty around their area went to their home to make sure everyone in that household was OK. 

When Officer Stratton arrived at Natalie's residence, Brittany explained the situation to them about Natalie using her old phone that apparently was already not working for years. She also explained that she was unaware that the emergency call function was still useable. 

Officer Stratton then went to Natalie and helped her with her "injured" stuffed bunny toy with a band-aid. After he helped her with her toy, Officer Stratton took the opportunity to educate Natalie that situations like that will not require a call to 911. However, if she or her family is in real trouble, she should call 911 immediately and let them know what's going on for her to be assisted and helped.

The officer also shared to the public that the reason why he helped Natalie even though it was a wrong call was that he wants to let children be educated about asking help to police officials. Not all children are knowledgeable and aware enough that calling police officials when there is trouble is the right thing to do when they are in a dangerous situation.

On the Facebook post that Fort Collins Police Service, they finished the post with a very funny and cute line about Officer Stratton that said: "Not all officers are equipped with the same rabbit repair skills, so please do not call police for furmergencies."
