Cooper always wanted to become a father

Cooper told People during an interview that he knew he was gay when he was 12 years old. It upset him because he had always wanted to become a father. He thought that he would never have a kid, so when Wyatt was born, he had a dream come true.

On April 27, Wyatt Morgan Cooper's surrogate mother gave birth to him. The 53-year-old news anchor felt like his life had only just begun. He said that it is a new level of love.

He added that it is unlike anything that he had experienced. To him, it was very familiar, incredibly unique, and intimate. He also said that the feeling was extraordinary.
