Kim Kardashian Opens up About Peter Davidson, Not Criticizing Ex-Husband Kanye West in Public

Kim Kardashian spoke in an interview about her new beau, Pete Davidson, and how much about their love life the public can expect to see in their reality show, "The Kardashians." Kim also talks about how she keeps things private for the kids.

According to the reality star, she would be open to talking about more details on her relationship with Davidson. She will address them on "The Kardashians," like how they met, who reached out to who, and how their romance happened. 

Keeping things private for the kids

The show will also feature her controversial divorce from Kanye West. The estranged couple has been in the headlines since announcing their divorce last year.

In Elle, Kim said that being in the public eye and having public disagreements are never easy. However, she admitted that she would never criticize the father of her kids on her TV show. The reality star added that doing so does not make her feel good. She believes in championing publicly and criticizing privately.

Kim noted that she is respectful of what the kids will see. For her, despite their rocky custody battle, Kanye and her kids will always be family, and they will always have that love and respect for each other, even if there are times when it might not seem like that. Despite everything, Kim said that there are "super positive" moments. She added that it is essential for people to see that things are not perfect all the time. However, she believes that things can get better.

Kim and Kanye West's custody battle

The couple had grabbed headlines lately when they announced their divorce last year. At first, the couple was quickly praised for allowing the divorce proceedings to run smoothly for the sake of their kids. They arranged for joint custody, and they were both allowed to see their kids freely.

Things took a different turn when Kanye claimed that Kim is now restricting his access to spend time with the kids.

In a public rant on social media, the rapper claimed that Kim stopped him from bringing the kids to his hometown for a basketball game. He also threatened Kim not to play with him and his children, as no security can get between him and their children.

He also ranted his concerns about their daughter North having her Tiktok account on social media. He also claimed that Kim kidnapped their daughter Chicago on her birthday by not providing him with the address of her party venue.

The rapper has been airing his views on Kim raising their kids, his wish to repair their marriage, and his anger toward her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson. West has been rumored to be dating Julia Fox.

Putting child custody at risk

According to reports, Kanye West is putting his childhood custody at risk due to his volatile social media posts. Divorce attorney Jacqueline Newman said that courts frown on parents "litigating their divorce in the press."

Newman, who has written books about divorce, said that West is not respecting Kim's wish to keep the divorce private. The lawyer warns of the impact of these conflicts on children. The kids would not want to read about their parents' divorce in magazines. 

The lawyer added she would often advise her clients to ask themselves before posting if they are comfortable handing the message directly to the children. "If the answer is no, then don't," she said.
