A couple from Georgia is planning to have a baby via surrogacy for $145,000. While this is no longer surprising with today's innovations, the couple's 37-year age gap is making quite the headlines.

Quran McCain, 24, who runs a TikTok channel, has been sharing details of his life as a new husband to Cheryl McCain, 61. He has raked over 2.3 million followers, especially after Quran proposed to the grandmother in July 2021 using a ring he crowdfunded through his TikTok account.

In June 2022, Quran announced that he and his wife, who got married in September 2021, have spent substantial money to facilitate the baby via surrogacy. Quran and Cheryl are expecting their first child together in the late spring of 2023, per Metro.

Meeting Cheryl when Quran was 15

In 2012, Quran, then 15 years old, was working at a Dairy Queen outlet in Georgia, which happened to be owned by Chris, one of Cheryl's adult children. The two lost contact for some time but reconnected in November 2020, after Quran saw Cheryl working as a cashier in a convenience store.

At this point in their dating life, Cheryl was already a grandmother to 17 kids, the youngest of which was born during the pandemic. According to the New York Post, only three of Cheryl's kids, ages 29 to 41, support the couple's relationship. Quran's family, on the other hand, embraces their unconventional pairing.

After Quran proposed, the couple decided to elope to Tennessee, where they had their whirlwind wedding, along with two of their friends as witnesses. With their honeymoon behind them, the couple has decided to start a family together.

Cheryl said that they get a lot of negative reactions about their relationship or the fact that they plan to have a child when she's too old to raise one. Quran admitted there are trolls following his TikTok who claimed he's only after her money, but the pair aren't affected.

"To death do us part. We ain't going nowhere," Quran said in one of their TikTok videos.

Move to Italy and start a family

Quran and Cheryl are currently based in Italy, and after picking out the surrogate mother, the couple told Need to Know that they could not be more thrilled to expand their family. The 24-year-old social media celebrity said that becoming a parent is not Cheryl's "first rodeo," so she is a capable mother.

On the other hand, Quran is excited to be a first-time dad. He said it was what he has always wanted to share with the love of his life.

The pair is also looking forward to buying their baby's stuff and celebrating the arrival with a baby shower. Despite their happy news, some of Quran's followers think the pair went too far with their plans to have a child. On the other hand, some of their supporters defended the couple by saying that their marriage proves age doesn't matter when it comes to love.

Meanwhile, Quran and Cheryl also run an OnlyFans account where they share videos of their intimate time. The pair said they want to challenge misconceptions about couples with a huge age gap. Quran noted that his wife might be 61 years old, but she is a "very young spirit, soul and heart."

In addition to their online profiles, Quran supports his family as a property caretaker.
