Kourtney Kardashian Says 10-Year-Old Daughter Penelope Still Sleeps With Her
Reality star Kourtney Kardashian admits that her 10-year-old daughter has slept with her since day one and still co-sleeps with her almost every night.
In an episode of Amanda Hirsch's "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast released Tuesday, Kardashian shared about her daughter Penelope's sleeping habits, saying that she is her girl that she does not worry about, Today reported.
She revealed that Penelope slept with her ever since the day she was born, and nothing has changed until now, except on those few nights that she has friends that sleepover.
This Kardashian said that her daughter also goes on sleepovers at her sisters' homes or her husband's house a few blocks away from theirs.
Husband and wife still not living together
She and her husband, Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, got married in May this year and are co-parenting their kids from previous marriages. Kardashian shares her daughter Penelope, Mason, 12, and Reign, 7, with previous partner Scott Disick. On the other hand, Barker shares Landon, 18, Alabama, 16, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.
The two, though already married, are still not living together because they are still trying to figure out their situation as a blended family.
The 43-year-old said that they are getting things in place one day at a time.
When asked about planning to have a shared home in the future, Kardashian said that, of course, there would be. They are currently focusing on their kids' best interests, and they do not want them to feel shocked or pressured as both their kids have lived in each of their homes for their whole lives, where each already has their own room. As parents, they are putting their kids first and want the transition period to be slow but sure for all of them. In the meantime, they have dinner every Sunday at Barker's with all the kids.
She further added that it is a fun, unique time in their lives right now, having and enjoying two hide-out places they can go to any time.
Penelope's her "mini-me"
The co-owner of D-A-S-H, a clothing boutique she ventured into with sisters Kim and Khloe, and of her new "secret" business Lemme with business partner and friend Simon Huck, this Kardashian said that her daughter Penelope is her "mini-me" to the core.
She shared that they are so close and spend so much time together that she need not worry about her.
The two run a famous TikTok account, @pandkourt, which has more than 4 million followers, and where her ex-husband regularly appears either dancing or taking part in his daughter's jokes.
On Penelope's 10th birthday, Kardashian took to Instagram to greet her daughter with the sweetest message, "I feel so blessed to be the mommy of this little lady. She makes me so, so proud every day and brings so much joy to my world. Happy 10th Birthday my Penelope."
