Florida Rapper Accused of Brutally Killing Pregnant Girlfriend in Front of Her Young Son

Florida rapper Billy Adams allegedly killed his pregnant girlfriend, Alana Sims.

Billy Bennett Adams III, 25, also known as Ace NH, was identified as the suspect in the homicide and was arrested Wednesday for killing the pregnant mother in New Tampa.

Police said the arrest comes nine days after Alana Sims, 22, was found shot to death outside her car in the 10700 block of Pictorial Park Drive.

Fox News reported Sims was shot outside her car while her young son was inside.

Despite the violence that took place, the boy was found sleeping by the authorities and was unharmed.

According to Tampa Police Major Michael Stout, Sims had thought she would attend a party celebrating Adams' recent acquittal in a double murder case.

However, the authorities believed that the Florida rapper had other plans and was not ready to become a father or have Sims in his life.

At the time of the incident, Sims was five months pregnant, and the child was believed to be Adams' offspring.

According to WFLA-TV, when the detectives questioned Adams, they felt something was amiss with his initial statements.

Other witnesses also did not support his alibi, leading the authorities to believe something was off.

The video footage showed Adams' car near the crime scene, even though he had denied being anywhere near. Despite this, Adams later admitted to killing Sims in a conversation with the detectives.

He was arrested at his parent's house in New Tampa and now faces charges of first-degree murder and killing of an unborn child by injury to the mother.

Authorities say it is an unthinkable crime

Tampa Interim Police Chief Lee Bercaw expressed his shock over the alleged crime committed by Adams and stated that he hoped this arrest would bring some solace to the victim's family, who had suffered the loss of two loved ones.

The Police Chief has affirmed that they are working with the State Attorney's Office to ensure the suspect will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

State Attorney Susan Lopez also expressed her disbelief and called the suspect's actions unfathomable, referencing the previous trial.

On the other hand, on January 27, a jury in Hillsborough County, Florida, found Adams acted in self-defense in the fatal shootings of Trevon Albury and Daniel Thompson at a recording studio in November 2020.

During the trial, prosecutors had portrayed Adams as a ruthless killer, but he testified in court that he had feared for his life during the altercation at the Lutz, Florida, recording studio.

The jury ultimately sided with Adams, finding him not guilty. According to the New York Post, State Attorney General Lopez stated that her office did not agree with the verdict, but they will continue collaborating with the Tampa Police Department to bring him to justice for these latest crimes.

Major Michael Stout commented that Adams allegedly admitted to pulling the trigger in the fatal shooting but did not display much remorse during the interview with the detectives.

Stout stated that he did not observe any remorse in Adams during the interview.
