The victim has been identified by her family as Ailahni Sanchez Martinez. Her mother, Rosa Martinez, described Ailahni as always happy and a source of joy for their family, noting that she was just a month away from her third birthday.

Ailahni's family was in the process of setting up their taco stand when they witnessed the tragic incident. Her father, Sandro Sanchez, expressed deep sorrow and called for justice, stating that losing his daughter in such circumstances was a devastating experience that should not have happened.

At 3:46 pm on Saturday, March 16th, officers responded to a distressing call at the 300 block of West Street regarding a child who had been struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined that a two-year-old child had been hit and was rushed to the hospital by family members, unfortunately succumbing to their injuries.

Authorities have noted the cooperation of all parties involved in the ongoing investigation. While no arrests have been made yet, efforts are underway to conduct a comprehensive inquiry.
