The toddler girl sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital by family members. Despite medical efforts, she tragically passed away.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found that the truck involved belonged to a man who had left it running while parked at a gas pump. Additionally, a 3-year-old child was discovered in the backseat of the truck in a car seat.

According to police reports, when the man entered the gas station store, the 3-year-old managed to exit the car seat and take control of the vehicle, leading to the collision with the 2-year-old girl.

The victim has been identified by her family as Ailahni Sanchez Martinez. Her mother, Rosa Martinez, described Ailahni as always happy and a source of joy for their family, noting that she was just a month away from her third birthday.

Ailahni's family was in the process of setting up their taco stand when they witnessed the tragic incident. Her father, Sandro Sanchez, expressed deep sorrow and called for justice, stating that losing his daughter in such circumstances was a devastating experience that should not have happened.
