Crafting Activities Suitable for Children During Easter

Paper Plate Easter Bunny Craft

Materials needed:

Construction paper, pom poms, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, small paper plates, glue

Instructions:

Ready the whiskers by taking three pipe cleaners and twisting them together at the center to create a connected bundle. Make sure the twisted section is concealed beneath the nose (pom pom) for later attachment. This will leave the whiskers protruding on both sides. Securely glue the whiskers onto the paper plate.

Attach the pom pom nose onto the center of the whiskers.

Craft the ears using construction paper and attach them to the top edges of the paper plate.

Add the googly eyes above the nose.

Draw the mouth using a black marker.

Popsicle Stick Easter Craft

Materials Needed:

Regular and mini craft sticks, small googly eyes, pipe cleaners, small pom poms, fine point sharpie, acrylic paint, cardstock, and glue.

Instuctions:

Apply acrylic paint to the popsicle sticks and assemble them using glue.

Paint a mini stick and attach it to the assembled sticks.

Paint the top portion of the hat.

Create the ears using the materials provided.

Attach the ears to the popsicle stick structure using glue.

Affix two googly eyes and the pipe cleaner whiskers using glue.

Complete the craft by adding the nose and mouth details.

Bubble Wrap Easter Egg Painting

Materials needed:

Acrylic paint, black cardstock, bubble wrap, Printable Easter egg template

Instructions:

Print out the Easter egg template provided (or create your design).

Obtain a piece of bubble wrap that matches the size of the template.

Utilize the template to cut out an Easter egg shape from the bubble wrap.

Apply paint to the bubble wrap surface.

Gently turn over the painted bubble wrap and position it onto the black cardstock.

Firmly press down to transfer the paint onto the cardstock. Then, delicately remove the bubble wrap to reveal the painted Easter egg design.

Pasta Easter Eggs

Materials needed:

Macaroni noodles, fusilli noodles, penne noodles, cereal box or similar cardboard, Acrylic paint, glue, easter egg template

Instructions:

Start by painting the pasta noodles in various colors.

Trace Easter egg shapes onto thin cardboard using a template.

Cut out the Easter egg templates and paint them with acrylic paint.

Begin attaching the painted pasta noodle designs onto the painted cardboard eggs using tacky glue.

Lastly, punch holes at the tops of the eggs to allow for hanging them on an Easter tree or similar display.

Easter Clothespin Crafts (Easter Chick)

Materials Needed:

Standard clothespins, acrylic paint in black, orange, and white, glue, yellow and orange cardstock, small googly eyes, yellow feathers

Instructions:

Paint the clothespins with acrylic paint: two black, two white, and two orange ones.

Cut out the provided templates.

Trace each template onto colored cardstock. Use yellow for the chick's body and orange for the feet.

Assemble the Chick:

Glue the chick's arms to the sides of the body. Attach a feather to each arm and one behind the body at the top of the head.

Attach the feet to the clothespins on the side that don't open.

Affix two googly eyes onto the chick. Cut out a beak from orange cardstock and glue it onto the face.

Attach the clothespins to the body.
