Steam VR Performance Test Reveals Snippets Of 'Left 4 Dead 3,' 'Half-Life 3,' 'Portal 2' & More

There's more to Steam's VR performance test other than the Aperture Robot Repair Demo. Valve has released publicly the performance test for a short time Monday morning.

While the video may not at all be thrilling, Valve Time reports that are there are a number of hidden secrets that they have uncovered in the past few months. Together with SteamDB, Valve Time discovered interesting artifacts as they delved within the codes of an older version of the performance test, reports Steamed.

Since most assets were based on older games, the discoveries may not mean that some games are certainly in a progress of being developed. The website noted though that uncovering these secrets was fun enough especially seeing old characters developed in Valve's new Source 2 engine.

Aside from this, there were codes from HL3 that were also uncovered. Latin Post added that there were familiar codes found that may mean the development of some games. As what Steamed emphasized, these codes may mean also mean nothing until an official confirmation comes out.

Here are some of the artifacts uncovered by Valve Time and SteamDB. Check out this test map created with a Left 4 Dead theme. Take a look at the demo video below:

More of the weird stuff here, Defend Castle challenges the player to guard a single, shapeless block tower against the attacking blue and green cubes. This reportedly has no interaction involved but Valve Times thought that a player may have fought off the advancing blocks using their Vive controllers:
