Tim Burton did it again. The trailer for his new film, "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" has been released Tuesday and it was scary.

After "Big Eyes" in 2014, Tim Burton comes back with a one-of-a-kind movie based on the critically acclaimed book "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," Variety reports. The book was written by The New York Times Best Seller, Ransom Riggs. "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" follows a young boy, Jacob, as he discovers a secret place where children with incredible powers seek refuge. He makes the magical discovery during his trip to Whales, Movie Pilot adds.

"Because our abilities don't fit in the outside world, we live in places like this, where no one can find us," says Miss Peregrine.

The trailer for "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" has a creepy soundtrack that hints of a dark undertone and adventure. From the trailer, the audience can learn that Jacob will become the hero, protecting the peculiar children from unknown dangers that seemed to surround them. How Jacob was one of the kids was not revealed in the trailer.

The new trailer also showed a few differences between the film and book versions of "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children." Variety says that Olive seems to be the close friend of Jacob in the film instead of Emma in the book. The latter also showed a different power -- she manipulates air instead of fire.

Eva Green portrays the titular role of Ms. Peregrine, a shape-shifter who owns the dwelling where children with unusual abilities are housed. She is said to have collaborated with the visionary Tim Burton in one of his films, "Dark Shadows." Eva Green acts alongside an all-star cast that includes Samuel L. Jackson, Judi Dench, Rupert Everett and Chris O'Dowd. Meanwhile, Asa Butterfield joins the cast and plays the role of Jacob. He is known for his appearances in "Hugo" and "Enders Game." His character is said to be the protector of the peculiar world of Miss Peregrine.

Tim Burton collaborated with Jane Goldman, who penned the screenplay of "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children." Goldman also wrote the screenplay for "The Woman in Black." "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" will premiere on Sept. 30, 2016. Watch the creepy trailer below:
