"Outlander" Season 3 spoilers hint that Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will go through some tough challenges in their time apart. As fans can recall, the Season 2 finale of the Starz drama, which is based on Diana Gabaldon's book "Dragonfly in Amber," saw Jamie and Claire go on their separate ways and divided by time.
Jamie thought that Claire would be better off living in the future because he thought that he would die in the Battle of Culloden. In "Outlander" Season 3, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe tease that Claire and Jamie's reunion is something that fans and viewers should be excited about.
"Who is Jamie without Claire, why is he still surviving, what has he got to live for when he's lost the woman that he loves," said Heughan, according to Variety.
Balfe, on the other hand, shared that she is looking forward to Claire and Jamie's reunion in "Outlander" Season 3 because the time they spent apart will make a difference. Balfe stated that she is excited to see how Jamie and Claire will develop feelings for each other again.
Meanwhile, fans are already anticipating for the introduction of the adult Lord John Grey based in Diana Gabaldon's third book "Voyager" in "Outlander" Season 3. TVLine notes that Grey is a closeted gay man who has feelings for Jamie.
Executive producer Ron Moore also told the publication that there will not be as much of the Lord John novels in "Outlander" Season 3. However, they are open to bringing in the other books based on the main story in some way.
"Outlander" Season 3 is believed to come out in early 2017 on Starz.
