Things are getting more exciting and interesting in "South Park" season 20 as the premiere of its brand new installment looms. In fact, series' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone recently revealed some details on what fans should expect in the upcoming season at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con.
For almost two decades, Comedy Central's sensational adult animated series, "South Park," has become a pop culture phenomenon. Despite being not suitable for children, the series has attracted a solid fanbase and its upcoming season premiere this fall is certainly much-anticipated.
As "South Park" season 20 marks its two-decade milestone on TV this September, Parent Herald is sharing some latest scoops we've learned about the show's brand new season. The details were revealed by Parker and Stone during the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con.
No 'Pokémon'-Themed Episode In 'South Park' Season 20 But Creators Hint A 'Free The Nipple' Season?
In spite of the fact that many people are clamoring over "Pokémon Go," Parker and Stone revealed that there won't be another "Chinpokomon" episode. The reason? "South Park" has already tackled the issue 17 years ago on the show's third season, IGN revealed.
"South Park" season 20, however, may have an interesting twist. According to Entertainment Weekly, the series' creators were asked during the 2016 San Diego Comic0-Con audience Q&A if they would so a "Free the Nipple" episode and interestingly, Parker said yes!
"Yes," Parker announced. "We weren't, and now we are. The entire next season will be Free the Nipple season."
Kenny Will Be Killed Again In 'South Park' Season 20?
Even though there won't be another "Chinpokomon" episode in "South Park" season 20, there will be a possibility that Kenny will be killed off again in the upcoming season. But as per Movie Pilot, there's some sort of a good reason why the creators might also stop killing Kenny.
"We might kill Kenny some this season," Stone revealed. "We kinda stopped doing that. It was fun and it was awesome and it was rebellious at first. ... And then it got to be like homework. But we could do that again."
Another 'South Park' Movie Not Happening Soon
"South Park" season 20 creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone also revealed that there could be no "South Park" movie anytime soon. Stone explained that even though there's a possibility for another flick, their focus are currently on the upcoming season of the show as well as its soon-to-be-released video game titled, "South Park: The Fractured But Whole."
"Could be, but right now, with the show and video games..." Stone told IGN in an interview. "I don't think so. But in the future, maybe."
PC Principal To Make A Comeback In 'South Park' Season 20?
For another "South Park" season 20 good news, fan-favorite character PC Principal is reportedly coming back on the show this season. As a matter of fact, he will remain as the principal of South Park Elementary, Den Of Geek learned.
"He's going to be in season 20," Parker confirmed. "He's there, he is the principal."
'South Park' Season 20 Air Date And 'South Park: Fractured But Whole' Release Date
"South Park: The Fractured But Whole" is set to be released on Dec. 6 on PS 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, with "The Stick of Truth" as a free download, Polygon noted. As for "South Park" season 20 air date, the brand new season will premiere on Sept. 14, hinting the potential participation of George Clooney and Caitlyn Jenner, Parent Herald previously reported.
