‘Destiny: Rise Of Iron’ Will See Shaders Once Again; Will ‘Destiny: The Collection’ Release In August?

"Destiny: Rise of Iron" will see a new change. Chris Barrett , the Bungie Game Director, announced on Twitter that the upcoming expansion of the famous will bring back shaders to class armor.

There is already great anticipation among the gamers with respect to "Destiny: Rise of Iron." It is reported that the expansion will have features like new strike, multiplayer mode and raid. This expansion is rumored to be the biggest in Destiny's history. The story revolves around Lords of Iron.

The game's player base is eagerly looking forward to the launch of "Destiny: Rise of Iron," which is all set to hit the markets on September 20, reported Games Radar.

While the players are already eager to get hold of "Destiny: Rise of Iron," the Game Director has now given them something to cheer about. Chris Barrett, on Friday, took to Twitter and made the announcement that class armor will once again be affected by shaders in the upcoming expansion.

What is a "Shader?"

A "shader" in the game "Destiny" allow the players to change the color of almost everything of their non-gun equipment. This will enable the Guardians can customize their look. This way they can stand out in a crowd. The class armor used to be included in the previous versions of the game before. However, it was left out of the game and Bungie never really explained why this was done, reported Game Rant.

There were various speculations as to why the 'shaders' were left out of the game. The players felt that the change might be due to the limits of memory resources on last-gen consoles. This theory now seems to be right since the shaders are going to be back as soon as the final patch for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are now released.

The "Destiny: Rise of Iron" will not be released on last-gen consoles. This proved advantageous to Bungie as it can take more advantage of the power provided by the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the expansion.

It is also reported that Bungie is also making a new version of "Destiny" for retail. It was noticed that earlier during the week, a temporary listing appeared on Amazon. It called out for "Destiny: The Collection for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One."

This listing was pulled off immediately and we do not know much about it yet. The release date was however listed August 18, 2016. This means it will be released a month before "Destiny: Rise of Iron" releases. This means that a new player would get just enough time to buy the base game and hit the level cap. After that, the new content will be available in the market.

"Destiny: The Collection" might most probably include all expansion packs released for "Destiny" before the "Rise of Iron" releases.

Destiny is available to be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. "Destiny: Rise of Iron" will release on September 20, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
