After throwing shade at Jennifer Lopez saying that she does not know the singer and actress, Mariah Carey might have a new enemy. She reportedly threw her fiancé's, James Packer, laptop when he played a Beyonce song.
Although the report has not been confirmed yet, a source said that Packer and Carey might have had a confrontation when he played the song of Beyonce in their home while they were having a date night. A source said that Packer, 48, tried to get Carey, 46, in the mood last month. He then played Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" and it resulted in a disastrous night.
The source continued, "Mariah threw the computer that was playing it via speakers out the window! Seriously, just trashed it. She ran out of the room screaming." The two reportedly went to the different parts of the house after Carey's blow-up and she reportedly had a few glasses of wine in an attempt to cool down, New York Daily News reported.
However, this is reportedly not the first time that Carey got mad over Packer playing her rival females' hits. Accordingly, Packer played "Waiting for Tonight," which is a song of her famous enemy, Lopez. This time, the two were having dinner and Carey had to cough out her zucchini. Packer then put on Spotify and played Carey's greatest hits.
The source pointed out that Packer should never play the songs of another female artist. He could only play Carey's song, classical, or jazz, Hollywood Life reported.
A representative for Carey said that the reports are completely bogus and fabricated. Six months ago, both Carey and Beyonce posed for a photo together at a Heartview Global Foundation dinner. The photo has resulted in many fans asking that the two singers should collaborate on a song.
It might, however, be true that Carey likes to play only her songs or the genres similar to her style of music. Her former husband, Nick Cannon, revealed in "The Amber Rose Show" that she and Carey once had sexual contact while her hit song "Hero" was playing on the background.
Carey and Cannon share two children together, Monroe and Moroccan, who are twins.
