Once again LeBron James proves he's still the best basketball player on the planet, this time on the NBA 2k17 game, as he beats out 2x MVP and Finals rival, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors on the game's ratings.
More and more reveals are released for the highly anticipated NBA 2K17 video game by 2K Sports, most recently was the in-game rating for players, specifically, NBA Champion and Finals MVP, the Cleveland Cavaliers' own LeBron James. James has held the highest rating for the basketball video game for the last 5 releases, before being dethroned by Stephen Curry in a mid-season update. Curry's in-game rating was only behind Michael Jordan in his prime, according to Sporting News.
"King James," will reclaim the top stop at the beginning of the season on the NBA 2K17 game with a 96 rating, which is the same as the previous year in NBA 2K16. After Curry's performance in the post-season of the NBA, 2K Sports saw to it that his rating would dip just a little bit, by 2 points.
According to Attack of the Fan Boy gaming site, NBA 2K17 has remained strict with its player ratings, with only 12 players making it to 90 and above. Those players being LeBron James (96), Stephen Curry (94), Kevin Durant (93), Russell Westbrook (93), Kawhi Leonard (93), Chris Paul (91), Klay Thompson (90), James Harden (90), Paul George (90), Draymond Green (90), Anthony Davis (90), and Demarcus Cousins (90).
Notable players who miss out on the 90 and above rating include LeBron's Cavaliers teammate, Kyrie Irving (89), Damian Lillard of the Trailblazers (89), Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks (89), and John Wall of the Wizards (88).
These ratings are only available in the beginning of the season, or until NBA 2K17 releases updates for the roster. NBA 2K17 will be available on September 20, 2016, on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows.
