NBA Trade Rumors: Stephen Curry Not Happy With Management Because Kevin Durant Receives Higher Pay? Klay Thompson Supports His Splash Brother?

Since Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors, reports have it that there is a growing feud between Durant and Stephen Curry. Curry used to be the Warrior's superstar but some are concerned that the seven-time NBA All-Star will overshadow him. Are Curry and Durant having issues?

GameNGuide reported that the two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry is no longer thrilled with the way the GSW management is treating him. Curry is also not happy that the former OKC Thunder big man and new Warrior Kevin Durant is paid higher than him.

Klay Thompson is reportedly supportive of Stephen Curry's qualms. The Splash Brothers have been linked negatively to Kevin Durant. There are rumors that Thompson will be affected the most with Durant's involvement in the team.

Unfortunately, the report did not link any source to their report. Well, it is true that Kevin Durant will be receiving a higher salary than Stephen Curry but that is because Durant just hit the free market agency and the Warriors have to offer more to acquire the NBA superstar. Meanwhile, Curry signed a four-year contract with GSW in 2012, which he is still up to at this time.

Per Business Insider, when Stephen Curry signed the contract he was plagued with a constant ankle injury. In addition, although Curry was a talented shooter and scorer, he was not a superstar that he is today. Stephen Curry was locked in a safe deal.

Stephen Curry is just the 65th highest paid player in the NBA. The two-time NBA MVP is the cheapest superstar in the league. However, when Curry hits the free agency market, he will likely join the caliber superstars signing for eight-digit contracts.

So, at the time there are really no reasons for Stephen Curry to fuss about Kevin Durant's pay. In addition, based on the statistics from Land of Basketball, Kevin Durant has played more NBA seasons, playoffs, and All-Star games. Durant also scored higher points, more rebounds and blocks.

However, between the two, Stephen Curry won an NBA championship, which Kevin Durant is still aiming for. Curry also earned the season MVP twice. Klay Thompson's Splash Brother also made more steals and assists per game.

Do you believe that there are issues between Kevin Durant and the Splash Brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson? Do you agree that Curry will be paid more when he hits the free agency market? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
