'Ocean's 8' All-Female Cast, Release Date, Latest News & Update: Rihanna To Join The Heist Team For Ocean's Reboot

Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow has announced "Ocean's 8" stars will be led by Sandra Bullock, who will play the counterpart of Danny Ocean (played by George Clooney). Sandra Bullock's role for "Ocean's Eight" is set to be the sister of Danny Ocean. She's about to run a heist team and her right hand is set to be Cate Blanchett (similar to Brad Pitt's role).

"Ocean's Eight" cast gets better as Rihanna joins the all-female heist team.  "Ocean's Eight" is set to be release in theaters on June 8, 2018, according to Entertainment Weekly. As the casting of "Ocean's Eight" is still on-going, a few more actresses will join Sandra Bullock's team including Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina and Helena Bonham.

Steven Soderbergh who has established the "Ocean's" trilogy will work alongside with Garry Ross, the director of "The Hunger Games."  "Ocean's Eight" is said to be the continuation of the "Ocean's" trilogy, but this time, the cast of another heist to be made will mostly contain female characters that serve as counterparts of George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon from the last three films of "Ocean's."

The production of "Ocean's Eight" is set to start by the end of the year, as the screen writer of 'Little Women', Olivia Milch is still working on the screenplay, reported by MTV.  "Ocean's Eight" all-female casting is still not over, whereas the rumors of Jennifer Lawrence joining the all-female heist team might still come true.

The shooting of "Ocean's Eight" is scheduled this fall at New York. Susan Ekins will be "Ocean's Eight" executive producer. The spinoff of another "Ocean's" film have been on progress for years, unfortunately, the passing of Weintraub has stalled the project. Currently, the casting is about to finish and filming of an all-female heist movie, "Ocean's Eight," is about to start.
