The geeky sitcom series "The Big Bag Theory" has seen many sci-fi actors as guest stars. However, it turned out not everyone is happy with that. William Shatner, who played James T Kirk in "Star Trek," turned down an offer because he want's "something better."
"The Big Bang Theory" has tried to book William Shatner for a guest appearance on the CBS sitcom, but things didn't go well with the 85-year-old actor. As reported by Digital Spy, the actors said he was not happy with the script.
"I've had several conversations with the creators, and what they wanted me to do, didn't seem to be exactly right, so I said 'find something that's better.' They may have taken umbrage at that, I'm not sure," William Shatner told the publication.
William Shatner said he wasn't sure what the "Big Bang" wants him to do would work out, revealing that they wanted him to play himself "a little obliquely." Nonetheless, the actor has not totally closed his doors for an appearance on "The Big Bang Theory," and fans are hoping to see him in the geeky show.
Meanwhile, William Shatner appeared in at Destination Star Trek Europe convention in the United Kingdom last weekend. He also brought his one-man show "Shatner's World" to the U.K. for the first time.
Elsewhere, William Shatner is going to be the voice of Harvey "Two-Face" Dent in the "Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders" sequel, according to Slash Film. The next installment is expected to be released in 2017. The first part, "Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders," already hit the theaters beginning on Oct. 10.
"The Big Bang Theory" is currently on its Season 10, airing every Monday at 8 p.m. Beginning on Oct. 27, it will move to the Thursday slot. The show will run until May 2017. No news yet if the CBS sitcom will be renewed for Season 11.
