The Philadelphia 76ers and the Oklahoma City Thunders came to an agreement for an NBA trade last Tuesday according to a reliable source. The Sixers traded Jerami Grant in exchange for Eran Ilyasova as several reports confirmed
According to the CSN Philly, TJ McConnell received a call directly from Jerami Grant and told that he had been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder 2 days ago. McConnell said in an interview that he was very sad as he heard the news about the trade.
Jerami Grant was picked 39th in the 2014 NBA draft and showed a good potentiality from his rookie season until today. The rest of his teammates from the Sixers described Grant as a guy with unmatched personality with full of positive spirits. He was also described by the Sixers GM Bryan Colangelo as a terrific and a professional player
Grant is still young and has plenty of room to improve, especially on the defensive end. Last season Grant showed his talent on the defense that led him to climb up on the Sixers' starting lineup. He is now expected to contribute on the defensive strategy of the Thunder as soon he is cleared to play.
On the other hand, the Sixers received Ersan Ilyasova who is known to be a good shooter with a height. Drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks back in the 2003 NBA Draft, Ilysova showcased his talents with his outside shooting skills as he now has a career average of 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game as the CBS Sports reported
Ersan Ilyasova played with the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder after playing with the Bucks for 7 straight years. Ilyasova can both play the power forward and small forward position due to his body build and shooting prowess.
