Kelly Osbourne and Zendaya are obviously in good terms in spite of the racist comments made by Giuliana Rancic on last year's episode of Fashion Police. Kelly Osbourne found the comment inappropriate and racist so she left the show immediately.
The issue of racism is highly talked about now in relation to Donald Trump's winning the 2016 US Elections. The new US President is referred to as a racist for his comments against Mexicans and other immigrants.
To narrate the whole story, Entertainment Weekly shared what took place which brought Kelly Osbourne to get upset and eventually leave the show.
It was when Giuliana Rancic commented on the dreadlocks of Zendaya which she sported during the 2015 Oscars. Rancic said she thought she smelled of patchouli oil and weed. Rancic later reached out to Zendaya through social media and apologized.
Kelly Osbourne said that it was rather difficult decision leaving the show. She continued on by saying that it was the best five years of her life. She also recalled how incredible it was to work with the late Joan Rivers.
This wasn't enough for Kelly Osbourne as she still went on to quit the show. After the Fashion Police, Kelly Osbourne has been active in fashion, attending shows, styling and even being part of a new show, Project Runway as one of the judges.
With this happening, it is inspiring to see the simple gestures of Kelly Osbourne having fun with Zendaya a year after the racist comments by co-host Rancic. The selfies were posted on Instagram.
The selfie of Zendaya and Kelly Osbourne were taken during the Project Runway's 15th season finale show as part of New York Fashion Week back in Oct as shared by Daily Mail. Zendaya acted as a guest judge on Project Runway. When Zendaya wasn't to busy working the camera and dealing with the press, Kelly Osbourne grabbed her for a quick photo op.
Though this happened a month before the 2016 US Elections, the selfie of Kelly Osbourne and Zendaya is good proof that no one is above anyone. It is also a reminder that friendship sees no color nor race.
Kelly Osbourne's decision to leave Fashion Police is another laudable act as she never would condone anything racist. How does she feel now that Donald Trump won the 2016 US Elections?
