CBS' "Limitless" was a hit. Unfortunately, for some reasons, the network axed the show but fans are still pushing for "Limitless" Season 2. According to reports, the second run might happen on its original network or on Netflix.
"Limitless" fans were broken hearted when CBS opted not to renew their favorite show. In response to this, the "Limitless" followers turned to Care2 Petitions to call the supporters of the show worldwide and support its second run.
At the time the petition for "Limitless" Season 2 already reached over 36,000. When Netflix decided to pick up the first season, many binge-watch the series and supported the petition too. They were all hopeful that Netflix will eventually continue "Limitless."
Some fans are so attached to "Limitless" that they are desperate for its second run. One fan commented on the petition that she doesn't want to watch TV shows anymore because it is sad to be so attached to a series and finding it canceled without proper closure. Unfortunately, at the time, "Limitless" Season 2 is still not confirmed.
Previous reports suggest that Bradley Cooper is not giving on the series. The "Limitless" star and executive producer has been lobbying the series to other networks. Cooper reportedly tried to close a deal with FX and Amazon for "Limitless" Season 2.
In a previous report from Parent Herald, "Limitless" has a unique plot and interesting story which makes it so appealing to the audience. However, the networks are holding back in renewing "Limitless" Season 2 due to the drug element in the series.
The TV series "Limitless" follows Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) a struggling musician who had a life changing experience after being introduced to the miracle drug NZT-48. The networks fear that renewing "Limitless" Season 2 might make others think that they are supporting this type of drugs.
A number of networks are already linked to "Limitless" Season 2 but some sources claim that if the series is renewed, it will air on CBS or Netflix. However, both networks have not confirmed this yet.
