Nintendo Switch Games Update: NX Reveals 'The Legend of Zelda' Release Date and More! [DETAILS HERE]

Since Nintendo set a reveal event for the Nintendo Switch on Jan. 12, 2017, there has not been any official news about their upcoming console. There are however several rumors circulating over the Internet with regards to the games that will be released for the NX. One popular title fans are expecting for the Nintendo Switch is "The Legend of Zelda".

In the reveal trailer shown by Nintendo, some gameplay footage of "The Legend of Zelda" has been revealed. The game must still be in development and what has been shown is probably just a tech demo of the game.

Several reports suggest that "The Legend of Zelda" will not be released together with the NX's expected release date which will likely be on March 2017. According to PVPLive, industry reporter Laura Dale said in one of her tweets that "The Legend of Zelda" for the Nintendo Switch is aiming for a June release with a Wii U version of the game following shortly after.

The new "Zelda" game will be given the name "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and will be the 19th installment of the series. "Zelda" along with the "Super Mario" franchise have been Nintendo exclusives and are expected to be among the first games made each time Nintendo releases a new console.

News update of this new "Zelda" game is subject to change as we await official word from Nintendo. Nintendo may be mum about the Nintendo Switch console but may not be that silent about their games. If nothing is heard about "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" in the coming days, then it can be expected that more details will be revealed on "Nintendo Switch's" reveal event next year.
