US Cellular already started rolling Android 7.0 Nougat update to the LG G5 smartphones over its network. The LG G5 users, who were eagerly waiting for the arrival of Android 7.0 Nougat into their smartphones, can just peep into their handsets Settings for the availability of the update.
On Nov. 21, LG G5 owners who bought their smartphones from Sprint experienced the roll-out of Android 7.0 Nougat update. Google's best operating system hit the LG G5 owners of South Korean tech market and then moved on to the US via Sprint.
After Sprint, it was the T-Mobile who rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update a week later. The update has a size of 1,272.9MB. It is reported that the update brings along Android 7.0 version, as well as security updates and other improvements.
According to Android Police, if the Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular LG G5 owners are eagerly waiting for the Android 7.0 Nougat update and cannot find any OTA notifications yet, then the only step that needs to be carried out is to head towards Settings and check for updates manually. If the below-mentioned notification is found, then the user only need to follow the online procedure to install the Android 7.0 Nougat and experience it.
"T-Mobile is pleased to provide a new, free software update for your Android Smartphone. This update includes Android 7.0 Nougat OS and Android security updates among other improvements. To install the software, make sure the battery is fully charged, connect to Wi-fi if prompted to download, once downloaded select "Restart & Install" at the bottom of this screen. Please do not turn off your device while the update is installing"
The new Android OS update includes UI tweaks, improved battery life, and native Android split-screen apps and an absence of Daydream VR support. The notification of the Android 7.0 Nougat update in the LG G5 smartphones clearly shows that the update will be downloaded automatically between 11PM and 4AM.
