Toddler Dies After Drowning In The Pool Amid Thanksgiving Celebration

A 3-year-old girl from York County died from drowning in an indoor pool on Thanksgiving Day. The Coroner's Office declared her death as an accident.

In an article published by USA Today, the victim, Avery Ogle, was spending Thanksgiving Day at her relative's house in Springettbury Township when the tragic incident happened. She was immediately rushed to Memorial Hospital but was unfortunate to not make it that doctors declared her dead at 3:35 p.m.

YDR also got a hold of this news and based on their report, the family only found out that young Ogle was drowning when someone noticed that she was missing. She was then found in the pool lifeless according to the Coroner's Office.

By 2:50 pm, cops were called to come to the house of the victim's relative where they performed CPR. The 3-year-old was carried out in the ambulance as fast as they could. An autopsy was also finished the day after at Lehigh Valley Hospital located in Allentown.

The family needed some financial assistance, which is why a GoFundMe project was made for them. The page already made above $2,200 on Friday at 7:30 pm and is still expecting that it goes high in the coming days.

This is not the first time that a toddler dies of drowning with adults being around the vicinity. There are many incidents out there that resemble this story and it is only right that parents should pay attention to their child's whereabouts, especially when they know that there is a pool in the area.
