What To Expect In The 'Celebrity Apprentice' Premiere; Arnold Schwarzenegger Will Be Taking Over Donald Trump's Hosting Gig

President-elect Donald Trump will no longer be the host of "Celebrity Apprentice" as the former politician and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger will be taking over. The premiere of "Celebrity Apprentice" is this January 2 from 8-10 p.m.

The contestants for the "Celebrity Apprentice" this season are Boy George, Brooke Burke-Charvet, Carnie Wilson, Chael Sonnen, Carrie Keagan, Carson Kressley, Erick Dickerson, Jon Lovitz, Kyle Richards, Laila Ali, Lisa Leslie, Matt Iseman, Nicole Polizzi, Porsha Williams, Ricky Wiliams, and Vince Neil. Telegraph reported that "Celebrity Apprentice" is now called "The New Celebrity Apprentice" and it has moved from New York to Los Angeles. The contestants will be competing in business-related tasks to raise money and awareness for their chosen charities. Some of these charities are The Arthritis Foundation, Hire Heroes USA, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The advisory panel for "The New Celebrity Apprentice" has also been revamped as it now includes former model Tyra Banks, Honesty Company owner Jessica Alba, and Warren Buffet. This is the 15th season of the series. Schwarzenegger was announced as the new host of the NBC hit series last September after Trump did not sign up for the latest season as he was busy with the presidential elections. Trump, however, remains to be an executive producer of the show.

One of the main problems that Schwarzenegger hopes to solve in "The New Celebrity Apprentice" is the dwindling number of viewers. When the show started in 2003, viewership was at 20 million but it fell to 16 million and 14 million after the next two installments. In the 14th season, the number of viewers was only at 7.6 million and NBC is hoping that Schwarzenegger being the new host of the show will change the ratings.

The Hollywood Reporter also shared that the premiere of "The New Celebrity Apprentice" will most probably have difficulty when it comes to ratings since several bowl games and "The Bachelor" will be airing during its time slot. "Master Chef Celebrity Showdown" will also be airing on Fox.
