A mobile device that can make a shockingly accurate selfie is now available in the market. The Bellus 3D Face Camera is indulged with the latest technology clipped at the top of the user's device to make a full 3D picture of their faces.
According to The Verge, the newest portable device can create a high-resolution image in seconds and make the face of the person realistic. The Bellus 3D Face Camera has combined IR sensors which are 1.2 -megapixel along with 1.2-megapixel color sensors. The combined technology is used to scan the user's face and produce an impressive picture.
Furthermore, Mobile & Apps reported that the face camera can be placed on the top of any mobile device or even an Android tablet. All that is required for the user is to face the camera and click to capture an awesome and realistic image in mere seconds. Aside from the IR sensors, it also has two IR lasers as well as a camera facing in front. The use of the combined technologies helps improve the scanned color of the face which produces the final result.
The user simply needs to turn his or her head slowly from side to side as he or she sits down in front while the camera is scanning it. The scanning process is only about 20 seconds and the user can get an image that can be lit and panned as required.
Since the output is in .obj, it can be used in 3D projects or it can be printed with an impressively realistic result. Although it is an advanced type of technology, the process of using it is just easy and simple.
The Bellus 3D Face Camera has yet to be improved as the company is trying to create more exciting features. It is said that the device may allow a user to virtually and digitally put on a makeup or perhaps, make VR avatars if they can develop these features as soon.
Currently, the 3D Face Camera is just a prototype and it is still exploring consumer and commercial applications. There is still no official release date but it is expected that it will be made at the end of 2017 with a price of $300.
