Ayesha and Stephen Curry Welcome Their Fourth Child

In a shared Instagram post on Sunday, the couple introduced their infant son, Caius Chai, born on May 11, with a family photo.

She wrote, "Our darling baby boy arrived ahead of schedule! He's doing well, and we're now adjusting at home as a family of six. Feeling incredibly thankful!"

Celebrity friends and followers, including Hailey Bieber, Justin Timberlake, and Winnie Harlow, celebrated the news in the comments.

"Congratulations," wrote Bieber, while Timberlake commented, "Congrats!!!" Harlow added, "Congratulations." Back in March, Ayesha, an actress and author, announced that she and the Golden State Warriors star were expecting their fourth child through a cover story on her website, Sweet July.

"For many years, Stephen and I thought we were done," read a message on the website. "Then last year, we both felt we wanted to do this again."

She noted that her fourth pregnancy would be different from her previous ones, as their three older children are now more independent. She also specified the rare experience of seeing this gestation through the eyes of her other children.

She remarked that their perspectives are so different, making it the most exciting experience.

Ayesha and Steph Curry initially crossed paths as teenagers in 2003, reconnected in 2008, and tied the knot in June 2011. Besides Caius, they have three other children: Riley, Ryan, and Canon Curry.

Ayesha Curry Provided Pregnancy Update on Social Media

Ayesha Curry provided a pregnancy update to her social media followers a couple of months before her expected delivery date.

On April 27, the 35-year-old actress posted numerous Instagram photos emphasizing moments from the past few months of her gestation. "Random picture lately," she captioned the post, which included pictures of her lounging in a lawn chair, her baby bump visible under a plain white tee, their dog gazing into the distance, and some tasty treats like a colorful bowl of cereal.

Other photos show the couple's 5-year-old son, Canon, holding paws with their dog in the living room, someone resting a hand on Ayesha's stomach, and Ayesha and her husband, Stephen Curry, posing for a shirtless selfie outdoors.

The Irish Wish actress and her NBA champion husband have been open on social media about preparing for their fourth child throughout Ayesha's pregnancy. Last month, Stephen, 36, posted a heartfelt birthday tribute to Ayesha on Instagram, celebrating her 35th birthday with photos of her and her baby bump.

He wrote, "My woman!!!! @ayeshacurry I want to take this moment to shout from the rooftops and wish you a Happy Birthday.

You mean everything to me and our beautiful family. Your smile and goofiness light up the room, and I can always count on you to keep it real and push our family forward." He finished with, "I LOVE YOU more life!"

Ayesha and Stephen, who met when they were teenagers and married in 2011, already have three children: Canon, 11-year-old Riley, and 8-year-old Ryan.

Earlier this month, Stephen revealed that the timing of their fourth baby's arrival, due in June 2024, was carefully planned around his Olympic Games debut this summer.

In an April 17 interview with the Associated Press, Stephen explained that they planned to keep July and August clear, as he is scheduled to play for Team USA in the Summer Games in Paris. "We thought about it ahead of time, which was nice," Stephen said.

"If the timing hadn't worked out for a certain month in the fall, we would have made a different decision since the Olympics were coming up. Thankfully, the Lord looked out for us, and if everything goes as planned, I'll be available this summer."

The couple announced their fourth pregnancy in March. In an interview with Sweet July Magazine, Ayesha shared that they "thought we were done" having children but decided last year that "somebody was missing."

She described, "I often felt as though someone was absent, noticing it when I'd pack the car and think, 'Oh, I forgot something.'

Yet, no one was overlooked. It began to occupy my thoughts. Perhaps someone was missing. Thus, we embarked on this journey, realizing it would fulfill our family."
