'Wonder Woman' Movie Trailer: Gal Gadot's Villains Revealed, 'Game of Thrones' & '300' Actors Up for Role [Rumors]

New rumors regarding Gal Gadot's upcoming "Wonder Woman" movie set to be released on 2017 state that an actor from the "Game of Thrones" series and an actress from "300" are being eyed for villain roles.

IGN reports that Sean Bean, known for his roles such as "Boromir" from the "Lord of the Rings," and Eva Green, who played Artemisia in "300: Rise of an Empire" are being considered by Warner Bros. as possible villains in Wonder Woman.

Heroic Hollywood reports that with the casting for the Amazonian goddess's movie underway, unnamed sources say that Bean is being eyed to play the role of the God of War Ares, while Green is being eyed for the role of the sorceress Circe. Both of these Greek mythological characters are Wonder Woman's fiercest enemies.

Screen Rant reports that if WB would let Diana have these two characters as her adversaries on-screen, it would pose as a big challenge for the Amazonian warrior.

Circe has the ability to transform reality, alter minds and project illusions. She can also up herself using magic, giving her the ability to fight with Diana on a physical level. Ares, on the other hand, possesses immense strength, superhuman speed, and the ability to to project energy.

Both of them are immortal and have numerous powers that they can use, which gives director Jenkins a lot of options to explore, even if only one make it to the big screen.

HH adds that it seems that WB likes the actors: Bean has previously starred in "Troy" and "Jupiter Ascending," while Green was in "Dark Shadows". But although this may be so, it doesn't meant that they are already finalized as part of the cast, as currently they are only being eyed for the roles.

Screen Rant says that Green has done a great job in 300, and she easily became one of the film's highlights. Bean, on the other hand, has vast experience in playing in fantasy greats, and that would hopefully make him a perfect fit for Wonder Woman.

As of the moment, it is not sure if meetings have already taken place, or if actual offers have been made -- meaning, confirmation still has to be made, and fans will just have to hope for the best for the movie, as either one of these two will be a great addition to the cast.

Gadot's Wonder Woman will have her debut appearance in the upcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" film in 2016, before being released as a solo movie on June 23, 2017.
