The "Daredevils" stars Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner remain to be the favorite subject in reports. Since the ex-couple announced their divorce two months ago, they continuously make headlines, from Affleck's nanny cheating scandal to the ex-couple's photos without their wedding bands.
New reports about the ex-couple claims that the "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" star has reportedly apologized to his ex over the alleged nanny cheating scandal. Affleck denied any romantic affair with Christine Ouzounian but he apologized to Garner for the issue in a tense counseling session, according to Radar Online.
The report suggests that for the first time since the pair announced their split, Affleck has finally took responsibility for his alleged affair with Ouzounian. A source told the publication, "The relationship had started after the couple had already split up, but Jen was humiliated when the relationship went public." The insider added that Affleck and Ouzounian became a close confidante as the actor's divorce drama unfolded but the pair's closeness was never meant to be romantic.
Christine often complained to Ben about Jen's being overly critical to her work with their three kids, which resulted to a feud between the ex-couple. Jen felt that she had been unfairly attacked by her estranged husband and at the time was finding it difficult to understand his behavior when they were trying to co-parent the kids. Now, the mom-of-three understands it.
"Ben was truly sorry when he apologized to Jen, and she thought it was a very good step moving forward," the source said.
Affleck and Garner attended a two-hour marriage counseling session, earlier this week. However, despite the couple's effort, insiders insist that there is no plan of reconciliation. Garner even told friends that she is relieved not having to be Ben's mom. Finally, she can focus on her life.
It seems that things are slowly getting into the right place for the couple. The pair was spotted together with their three children Violet, 9; Seraphina, 6; and Samuel, 3; in Farmers Market, Brentwood and in a gathering at their church in Pacific Palisades, California on Sunday, according to Mail Online.
The report suggests that everyone was very happy, in fact, Ben and Jen were pictured smiling. Perhaps, it was due to the fun-filled activities and tasty treats the family was able to enjoy. Ben was spotted treating his daughter Violet to balloons before the family indulged in some snacks.
"They are working with a professional because there are emotions involved and they want to make this transition as easy as possible for their family," an insider explained why the couple attends counseling even if they have no plans to reconcile.
