Fans of the hit modern fairytale TV series "Once Upon A Time" are very excited with what the new season has in store for them. While season 5 is fast approaching, the series creators and executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have been hinting fans a preview about the new season.
The last season's finale features Emma being consumed by the Dark One as she saves Regina and the rest of the Storybrooke. What was left of behind after Emma was gone was the Dark One's spinning dagger, emblazoned with her name.
Fans are anxious what kind of a Dark One the previous Savior will be. Horowitz told TV Line: "She's a very motivated Dark One." He further explained that there's a driving force behind Emma's actions. "She's clearly going to be hiding something from the audience that will be revealed as the first half of the season unfold," added Kitsis.
Since Emma is not on her real self, there's an anticipated conflict between her and her family and friends who wanted to save her. Their encounter will not be easy, "Emma is going to do something particularly bad coming up, and to the people she loves," Kitsis teases.
On the other hand, the upcoming season's theme is "Love is a dangerous weapon," according to Kitsis. Speaking of love, Hook has already proclaimed his love for Emma and he will not be giving her up.
Hook is "hell-bent on saving Emma" and he will be very visible in the first 10 episodes of the new season. Design and Trend suggests that Hook will be teaming up with Regina, Snow and Charming to free Emma from the dark magic within her.
On the other hand, a new side of Belle will be featured this season as Kitnis teases that fans will get more of her adventurous side as she teams up with the Scottish redhead princess Merida on adventures. "We've always wondered what would happen if Belle and Merida went on an adventure together. We hope you do too, 'cause it's coming!," Horowitz said.
Belle is already courageous and intelligent on her own, but when she's paired with the brave and high-spirited Merida, it will surely be a bliss. The pair will be going on a risky venture together and this is something the audience are looking forward to witness.
Horowitz hinted that there are a lot of misconceptions about the TV series online. However, they are glad because that would suggest a lot of surprises to their audience.
"Once Upon A Time" season 5 will premiere on Sept. 27, Sunday, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
