Teenage pregnancy may have been increasing over the years but the numbers gradually decreased by 2014. College campus support groups were already set up to help teen moms pursue their education and get the emotional support and the motivation that they would need.
Aside from educating teenagers, giving them access to birth control also played a vital role in the decrease of teen pregnancy, according to Business Insider. The numbers of teen age birth rate drastically dropped by eight percent from 2014 to 2015.
The decrease in sexual activities among teenagers also dropped. For teens who are sexually active, however, birth control methods and IUD significantly help the reduction of teenage pregnancy. Numbers dropped from 23.3 births involving 1,000 teens, where the overall rate went down to 64 percent.
