Dad Steps Onto The Stage To Help Daughter With Her Stage Fright During Ballet Recital

Marc Daniels, a father-of-three from Bermuda, is every daughter's hero after he bravely danced on stage with her daughter during her ballet recital to calm her nerves.

'Daderina' Of Bermuda

Daniels is now dubbed as the 'Daderina' of Bermuda after a video of him dancing ballet on stage with a group of young girls has gone viral. The said clip shows the father perform the whole dance routine with her daughter, Bella, by his side because the latter had a tantrum during the performance.

The lawyer manages to execute the moves even while holding Bella's baby sister, Suri. Daniels points his toes, plies, and even spins during the impromptu performance. He later reveals in an interview that he was already familiar with the steps because he had practiced with her daughter at home on many occasions.

Daniels says that his daughter is always dancing at home. However, it was different during her ballet recital at the City Hall of Hamilton, because she lacked the energy and she simply was not having any of it.

The dad says that prior to the performance, Che Barker, the husband of In Motion owner Lizz Pimentel, already alerted him to her daughter's tantrum. He wanted to comfort Bella but it was too late since they were just about to go on stage. So when he saw her become very emotional on stage he knew that it was time to jump in and give her hugs from daddy.

Heroic Moves

Daniels says that he had asked Bella if she wanted to dance with daddy and she nodded, so he decided to join in. He admits that "it was definitely instinctive" and that he did not even consider his actions when he joined the girls.

"Despite having a tantrum, I can tell she wanted to stay on stage, and I didn't want to discourage her before the big performance by making her be the only one to come off. I walked on holding Suri and stood next to her, trying to help build her confidence - I told her I loved her and that she's an amazing dancer," Daniels tells The Sun.

Daniels jokes that before he had his girls, he never considered taking ballet lessons. However, he thought it might not be too late now that everyone knows him for his toe-pointing moves at the recital.

The father's heroic move received wild applause from the audience at the hall and praises from netizens. Daniels has received an invite from the In Motion School of Dance to dance alongside the girls again. His wife, Kim, said their girls will always cherish the moment.
