Pregnancy is a tough cycle. Your emotional, physical, and mental health will also be at stake when you are pregnant. There are days that you might feel cranky, frustrated, and angry, but there will also be days that you will feel soft, sensitive, and just feel all the happy things. Pregnant women should be knowledgeable of things about pregnancy and babies for them to fully understand why they feel such things during the cycle. Thus, being aware of the symptoms of pregnancy is very important.

To know more about signs and normal symptoms that can happen during your pregnancy cycle, here is what to expect every week:

First Two Weeks of Pregnancy

The pregnancy cycle is divided into trimesters. Each trimester can last up to 13 weeks. The first trimester starts in the first month of the pregnancy. In the first week of your pregnancy, you get to experience the gestational stage. This happens on the first day of your last menstruation period.

The first two weeks of your pregnancy is where the egg is most mature and is released from your ovary. In other words, this is the ovulation stage. The ovulation may happen before or after your menstrual period and the average menstrual cycle is 28 days. When your ovaries have released the egg, it travels down your fallopian tube and heads down to fertilization. This happens usually if you have unprotected sex within the six days of your ovulation.

Weeks Three and Four

In three to four weeks, the fertilized egg will go down to your fallopian tube and will be divided into more and more cells. It will further reach your uterus 3-4 days after fertilization. The cells will continue to divide in 2-3 days. After that, the implantation happens, and it usually starts 6 days after the fertilization period and takes about 3-4 days to be completed.

Common Signs of Pregnancy

From week one, you might experience pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, bloating, swollen breasts, fatigue, exhaustion, and excessive urinal activities such as peeing. However, the most common sign of pregnancy is when you miss out on your period for days or at least a week.

This happens on women who have their period regularly. However, for irregular-menstruation women, you need to have your check-up once in a while with your doctor and see if you are pregnant or not. This should be done especially if you know you are having unprotected sex.
