Bashed because of being a "bad mom" to her kids, Stacey Solomon is no longer keeping her silence, and it's about time!
For parents, it's very hurtful and stressful for them to hear criticisms and judgements from people about their parenting ways. As for celebrity Stacey Solomon, hearing bad things about her being a "terrible parent" is already below the belt, when in reality, those who follow her on her social media accounts can testify how good of a mother she is to her three sons Zachary, 11, Leighton, 7, and Rex, 9. With this, Stacey is not backing down.
However, even if Stacey's supporters would say how good and supportive of a mother she is, it does not stop the criticisms, hate, and insult about her and the way she is raising her children. With this issue coming around, people have come to think why most bashers a mother has- especially to celebrity moms- are also mothers as well. Mothers should know how hard it is to raise children and they feel almost the same thing in situations, so why would they still hate on other mothers?
According to psychotherapist Phillip Hodson, the reason why mothers tend to act like this towards other mothers because being a good mom matters so much and it should be perfect and in-top-shape when you do it. In addition, Hodson explained that parenting genetic is a factor and it flows down in generations. Mothers want to feel that they are doing it right. If they feel like they are doing it right and when they see other moms doing so otherwise, it will make them feel that they are doing it incorrectly-- thus, blooms the criticisms.
However, there are more other celebrity moms out there are being looked upon, such as supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who has a two-year-old son, or Viktoria Beckham, who is a mother to four amazing kids. Mothers would find it easier to bash and compare themselves to Stacey Solomon, because in the first place, she does not seem like the "mom-type" and is more like a girl-next-door-type.
Hodson also adds that one reason why moms troll on other mothers is that they feel a strong emotion of envy that is being conveyed into aggression. He points out the influence and effect of social media that gives everyone a sight of how celebrities live their lives and show people a glimpse of their lifestyle and everyday life. This can trigger thoughts in mothers that will make them think "if celebrity moms can do it, why can't they?" or maybe "who does she think she is?" and some other questions that could lead to comparison and then hate. There is also a sense of thinking that non-celebrity moms think that celebrity moms are only living their life because of the viewers of their shows, and this will make them feel that they have the right to pull them down.
Three Times Stacey Solomon Was Bashed of Her Parenting Ways
Here are only some of the things Stacey was thrown hate at because of her parenting ways. Although it might seem a little petty, here is a glimpse of why she is being trolled on by mothers and the internet people.
#1 She was accused of letting Rex (5 months old) eat a broccoli dinner. For most moms, they think this is a wrong thing to do since 5 months is still a short time for babies to be fed actual food. But to Stacey, she's only more concerned about her children's nutrition.
#2 She was bashed because of cuddling baby Rex. This sparked criticisms from online mothers and people that Stacye is not teaching his son proper sleep training. In the photo Stacey posted, she was cuddling her baby which only showed her affection and love him, and people were quick to judge her parenting ways because of it.
#3 She was putting "too" much food on Leighton's lunchbox. It is important for moms to look after what their children are eating, and for Stacey, giving her children the right amount of food is one thing she should do. She was once attacked by moms for putting too much food on her son Leighton's lunchbox, and it sparked a triggering point at parenting.
