Ben Fordham shared an Instagram photo of his children eating lunch with grandma on a separate table on Sunday. They are practicing social distancing due to elders being more vulnerable to coronavirus.
Ben Fordham's Kids Eat Separately With Their Grandma
While eating, Freddie, 5, and Pearl, 3, two of Ben's children, blew kisses to their grandmother being on a different table as them. The "Ninja Warrior" host captioned a cute and heartbreaking photo, saying "Blowing kisses to mum at lunch. BYO table and lunchbox".
The "2GB radio" host's mother was smiling while sitting on a chair on the verandah, with quite a safe distance from her grandchildren to protect her from potentially getting infected with the coronavirus.
In a Channel Nine campaign called "slow the spread", Fordham was one of the advocates for social distancing to avoid the further spread of the coronavirus. He said that since her mother is Australian, people tend to think that she [his mother] would be alright, and she can do it her way. However, he said that that is not the time for that.
A clip from the show also showed that Richard Wilkins, an entertainment reporter, tested positive for the coronavirus.
The TV presenter is proud of his kids' understanding amid the COVID-19 spread. He shared a video of him laying with his two older kids on a trampoline while reflecting on the activities that they used to do, but could not enjoy right now.
Ben Fordham is Proud of His Children
Fordham shared a video with a caption calling out to all kids, describing them as legends. He added that when everything is over, everyone deserves to be rewarded with ice cream.
Adding to that, he said that he is just telling the world how proud he is of his children for handling the current situation so well. Then while still recording, he asked Freddy what the things that they are not allowed to do are. Freddy politely answered that they are allowed to go to the playground and have play-dates. They are not allowed to go to restaurants but are allowed to get takeaways for some of them. Pearl repeated that they are not allowed to go to parks.
Then Freddy added some more, saying they are allowed to go to parks provided they do not touch the equipment. He also said that there would be no school, no playgroup, and no pre-school. Even if there were no advice from the Sydney government to stop schooling, Fordham personally decided to keep his kids at home.
Ben Fordham is married to Jodie Speers, a presenter on Channel Seven. They share three children Freddy, Pearl, and a six-month-old baby named Marigold. The couple said that they were head over heels in love as they welcomed their third baby in September last year. Nicknamed as Goldie, which meant a beautiful little nugget of gold, Marigold is feeding well and is opening her eyes to take in the world around her, excitingly described by the Fordham couple.
