11 Fun Ways to Celebrate Your Kids' Birthday Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

A birthday is one of the days that most kids look forward to. However, since we are doing isolation, it does not mean that the kids should not enjoy their birthday celebrations.

Here are 11 fun ways to celebrate your kids' birthday amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Treasure Hunt

Presents excite kids of all ages. Make them more excited by wrapping their gift into layers of wrappers or boxes, and then hide it somewhere around the house, then give a map to the celebrant that leads to his gift. Leave hints or riddles for the celebrant to answer before giving him the map.

Balloon Messaging

Balloons rarely fail to make kids smile. Choose from the different sizes, shapes, colors, and designs that the celebrant wants. Write special messages from all the family members and if possible, from friends and relatives, then insert them in balloons before blowing them up.

Give it to the celebrant and look at him smile as he pops each balloon and reads the sweet messages that everyone has for him.

Special Treat

Cook the celebrant's favorite meal and serve it to him all dressed up as a butler, complete with candlelight and everything fancy.

Service Deluxe

Have every member of the family provide one service for the celebrant. May it be cooking for him, or dying of hair, or whatever he wants to. It's his day after all!

Zoom Celebration

Call each one of the celebrant's friends via Zoom so that they could chat and connect. This will make your child happy especially that it has been weeks since they last saw one another due to social distancing.

Video Message

If Zoom is not available, let the celebrant's relatives and friends record a birthday message, compile the videos and then watch it together with the celebrant after dinner.

Give Them a Yes Day

Since it is a special day for your kid, make it extra special by saying "yes" to his request. If he wants to sleep in your bed? Allow him. If he wants to eat popcorn? Let him. If he wants to play with a new toy? Give it to him. It will surely be a memorable day for him.

Spa and Massage Day

Organize a spa or give the celebrant a massage using some essential oils that you can find in your cabinet and have a relaxing day. Join the celebrant and have a nice time catching up with him.
