Prince Harry Praises Caretakers After Having Experienced Taking Care of Baby Archie

Prince Harry is enjoying his family time with Meghan Markle and baby Archie amid the coronavirus pandemic. He shared an insight into how he feels about the global crisis.

After the recent move to Los Angeles with his family, Prince Harry had a video call with parents and carers in the U.K. who are taking care of the seriously-ill children and shared his thoughts with them. The 35-year-old prince took part in the candid call last week with the parents, a specially trained nurse, and the head of WellChild. One of Prince Harry's long-standing charities, WellChild, is responsible for providing care for seriously ill children in the U.K.

The Duke of Sussex shared that there is so much positivity happening in his life right now, and there are times that it makes him feel guilty of spending so much time with his family. However, he said that people should celebrate these kinds of moments because you would never know what hurdles you might encounter, maybe half an hour or a day later, and you do not have a choice but to face them heads on.

The patron of WellChild for more than a decade said that he felt nice for seeing familiar faces during the video call, and he praised the families calling them "super parents" for the grace that they show even if there is so much pressure around them.

He told the parents that they are "absolutely incredible" for the resilience and strength that they have, and he reminded them that there are going to be hard days and that he could not imagine how hard it is for them to endure. He added that just having an 11-month-old kid is enough, referring to baby Archie.

Harry heard how the group was coping despite the global health crisis. Apart from the issues with accessing complex medical care, the pandemic has caused extra stress and challenges on the families and carer of ill children. During the 30-minute call, the group discussed the special challenges they are facing now. They also shared how to keep the virus from infecting already vulnerable patients and their families.

The prince was then asked how he was doing, and he said that they are doing okay. He feels that it is strange that everyone is experiencing the same circumstance in unique ways. However, he is afraid that if this pandemic goes on, he could not imagine how hard it is for the carers to continue with what they are doing.

Adding to that, Prince Harry said that he knows that the people's morale helps them to get up in the morning and to remind them that they have a family that depends on them. However, he said that since there are a lot of things that are not within their control, it makes the people feel that they are just a small part of this big world.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Harry still keeps up with the same charities and causes that he used to connect with when he still had his royal title. He is hoping that the government would do something to help, especially those vulnerable people and the charities that support them.
