Anderson Cooper Happily Shares His Newborn Son Wyatt Morgan Cooper

On April 30, Anderson Cooper shared his happiness of becoming a father by sharing a series of Instagram photos of him and his newborn baby boy.

The American journalist captioned his photos and said that he wanted to share the joyful news that he became a father on Monday. He introduced his three-day-old son, Wyatt Cooper, which he named after his dad, who died when Cooper was ten years old.

He is hoping that he could be a good father just like his dad.

Cooper added the middle name Morgan to his son's name to honor his mother's family name. He knew that it was a name both his mom and dad wanted because it was a part of the list of names that his parents made 52 years ago when they were still thinking of a name to give to Anderson Cooper.

Weighing 7.2 lbs., Cooper's son's full name is Wyatt Morgan Cooper. Cooper happily described his son as sweet, soft, and healthy. He continued, saying that he never thought that he could someday have a child of his own knowing that he was gay when he was a kid. He is very grateful to all the doctors, nurses, and all the people that have made it possible to own a child.

Moreover, he is also "eternally grateful" to Wyatt's surrogate mother for watching over his son lovingly and tenderly, and finally, giving birth to him.

He also wrote that he is wishing that his dad Wyatt Emory Cooper, mom Gloria Vanderbilt, and brother Carter could all meet his baby boy. He believes that they could see his son even though they are not here on Earth anymore.

Adding to that, he said that he could imagine the four happy together with arms around one another and smiling, laughing, and knowing that their love is alive in him and baby Wyatt. Apart from that, he knows that his family is happy that he has decided to continue their bloodline.

Anderson Cooper also shared the news on "Anderson Cooper 360" where he opened about how he wished that his family could see that he is now starting his own. He started his segment by relaying his thoughts about the global health crisis just like his regular newscast.

He said that because of the difficult times that we are experiencing, it is important to hold onto moments of joy and happiness. He also said that even though we mourn for the loss of loved ones, we are also blessed for the gift of life.

Cooper became relaxed as he continued to share about the "joyful news" of his own. After declaring himself as a father, the TV personality shared a photo of his son on-screen and it was obvious that he tried to keep tears from coming out of his eyes.
