David Esquibias, Amanda Bynes' lawyer, announces that the actress is not pregnant.
On March 17, the 33-year-old star announced on her social media account that she is expecting a baby with fiance Paul Michael. She wrote, "Baby on board." Her fiance also shared the same photo with a caption that says, "Baby in the making."
The Nickelodeon star said that she is expecting days after she and her fiance broke up. The "She's The Man" actress was ordered to go to a health facility to receive mental treatment by the judge overseeing her conservatorship case days before she and her fiance broke up.
The "Sydney White" star had agreed to the terms but refused to go over the weekend. Later on, her lawyer noted that the actress would be receiving professional care for her "ongoing mental health issues."
According to Bynes' lawyer, Paul Michael and Bynes are still together and remained close friends after the breakup. Bynes' fiance told The Sun that the star is currently in a residential treatment center for trauma.
He said that Bynes requested for the treatment because she has a trauma from her childhood that is still affecting her. He also noted that the "What A Girl Wants" star started with the treatment, but she wanted to go to the center that took her insurance. Adding to that, he said that the actress is currently in an expensive place, but it is better for her trauma.
Esquibias told Us Weekly that Bynes is not living in a sober living facility, but she is staying in a safe environment. Since 2014, "The Amanda Show" star has been under conservatorship when she had trouble with substance abuse and suffered a public breakdown. Four years later, during her interview with Paper magazine, she shared the hardships that she had gone through as she reflects on her retirement from the film industry.
She said that she had no purpose in life because she had been working her whole life, and now she has nothing to do. She said that she would "wake and bake" and be stoned all day because she had a lot of free time. She hanged out with the seedier crowd and isolated a lot, so she used drugs, and her world became sad and dark.
Amanda Bynes said that she had learned a lot during her treatment and has a piece of sound advice to all the people suffering the same problems as her. She said that they have to be careful because the substance can take hold of their lives.
She also said that everyone is different, but in her case, the mixture of marijuana and other drugs has messed up her brain. Admittedly, she also noted that even drinking alcohol could have some effect on the drugs. All that said, the combination made her into a completely different person.
