Many fans are looking forward for the trailer of the anticipated film "Captain America: Civil War." However, Marvel is very good in building anticipation for their upcoming superhero flick because after numerous requests from fans, they still did not release the official trailer. However, more details about the film was revealed in the new footage released last weekend.
According to ComicBookMovie.com, a new trailer was released at the AsiaPop Comic Con in Manila, Philippines and it was well-received similar to the first footage released at the D23 Expo. In fact, fans were very pleased that the production has to play it twice for the audience.
For some, the trailer was just similar to the first one. Many are claiming that it was just the D23 Expo trailer. However, a few Twitter users shared rough descriptions of some scenes which were reportedly new or extended.
Among the new scenes is the battle among Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evas) and the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). The report suggests that Iron Man threw Cap but he missed Bucky Barnes the Winter Soldier, and was consequently punched straight in the face.
In addition to that, there are rumors that Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) is a double agent who doublecrosses Cap. She is shown reporting to the government, including General Ross and Tony Stark before her epic fight with Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).
The fighting scenes between Black Widow and Hawkeye was filled with power and action. Clint delivered a big blow which obviously hit Natasha leaving her in bad shape.
Another scene features Vision (Paul Bettany) fighting both Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). This suggests that Scarlet Witch belongs to Team Cap. Earlier, the character was noticeably missing in the promotional art shared by Renner.
Olsen told MTV News regarding her absence in the concept art: "They released images of Team Cap and Team Iron Man. She wasn't there. She's always the wild card. I like being the wild card."
There was also an extended scene featuring Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Cap. In an earlier report from Parent Herald, there was a brewing bromance between the two superheroes after their encounter turns hilarious due to Ant-Man's charming reactions. He was starstruck upon seeing Cap that he continuously mistakes his words.
In the new trailer, in a callback to Peggy Carter, Ant-Man touches Cap's pectoral muscle to feel how firm they are while they were in a conversation. He is indeed the character that will bring a comic relief to the audience amidst the tense in the "Civil War."
"Captain America: Civil War" will hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
