Memorial Day is celebrated every last Monday of May across all cities around the US. It is to give respect to the men and women who died in wars and those who serve the country.

Here are the ways to celebrate the memorial day with the family while doing social distancing.

Give honor and respect

Pay respect to the heroes who gave service to the country. Have a flag-making activity with your kids, the more creative, the better. It is to teach your kids to give honor to the people who sacrificed their lives during the war.

Teach your children about history

During lunch, you may tell stories about what you have learned in your history class and discuss with your children ways on how to show patriotism to the country.

Watch movies about war

Spend the evening together with your children watching movies about battles from the past. There are many shows on the History Channel and The Military Channel that you can choose. It will help your children recognize the heroes that fought during the war.
