One way or another, we might have felt bored staying at home during the pandemic lockdowns. Timothy Madders from Billericay, Essex thought of the same thing - people could be bored. In particular, he thought the Queen might be a little bit bored.
So the seven-year-old boy thought of creating a word search for the Queen.
Because of this thoughtful act, the Queen thanked Timothy through a letter.
Word search and a letter
During the pandemic lockdowns, Timothy became worried that Queen Elizabeth is feeling sad and lonely.
In an interview with BBC, his mother, Jo Madders, said, "He wanted to do something to cheer her up." That is why Timothy did his best to make a word search that the Queen would love.
The seven-year-old boy used happiness as his theme for word search. According to the boy's mother, it was because he wanted to make sure that the Queen will think of happy things while answering it.
The words that the Queen had to look for were smile, happiness, sunshine, friends, hug, love, and many more. According to Timothy's mom, the little boy also made sure that he wrote the word search in his neatest handwriting.
Along with the word search, Timothy also wrote a letter to the Queen.
The Queen's reply
After sending the word search and the letter to the Queen, Timothy was surprised when he received a letter saying that the Queen appreciated his gesture.
According to BBC, one of the Queen's ladies in waiting replied to Timothy.
In the letter, the seven-year-old boy was thanked for the letter and puzzle that he sent.
Aside from saying that the Queen greatly appreciates the little boy's thoughtfulness, it also reminded Timothy to keep safe.
Timothy was thrilled when he received the letter from the Queen. He said, "It made me feel special and happy."
The seven-year-old boy feels he was successful in his mission of making the Queen happy.
Queen's previous reply to other kids
The Queen might have been busy. However, when something is interesting, she finds the time to reply to them.
In 2017, another kid did not just send her a letter, but an invitation to have tea in her house.
The little girl's letter was also signed by the Queen's lady in waiting. Although a little disappointed that the Queen did not come to her birthday party, she was still happy that Her Majesty read her letter.
