Stuffed bear with voice recording of a woman's dead mother is home [with the help of Ryan Reynolds]

A woman who initially appealed to people online for help in finding her lost bear is now rejoicing. Mara Soriano is reunited with her "Mama Bear," which she lost a few days ago.

The stuffed bear has a voice recording of Mara's Mom, who died of cancer last year.

According to her interview with Global News, Mara first posted about the lost bear on Reddit. It was on Twitter, however, that people got wind of Mara's predicament. Even the actor, Ryan Reynolds, offered a reward to the person who will return the bear.

The lost stuffed bear

On July 24, Mara was moving apartments with her fiance. She received news about her friend getting hit by a van while riding his bike. Mara rushed to his friend and forgot about her backpack containing the stuffed bear and her iPad.

To some, the bear might have been a simple stuffed toy, but to Mara, it was more than that. It was a piece of her Mom that was left before passing away last year. The bear contains a voice recording of Mara's Mom saying, "I love you, I'm proud of you. I'll always be with you."

Since realizing that she lost her bag, Mara posted online and asked for help from other people. She was also able to discover that a thief took her bag. It was seen in security footage near the place Mara moved.

People's support to find the lost bear

A lot of people retweeted and shared Mara's story, including Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds even said that he is willing to throw in 5,000 US Dollars for the person who will be returning the stuffed bear. Other people online offered to give a reward that Mara decided to ask those who would like to pitch in to donate the money instead.

"Mama Bear Is Home"

Less than a week after losing the stuffed bear, two men returned it to Mara.

She announced the return of her bear on Twitter.

Ryan Reynolds retweeted the photo and described it as "happier news."
