A dollar's value is probably too low for people to fuss over it. However, for an Ohio woman, Carol Hart, there is this particular dollar bill that she considers to be worth more than just a dollar.
On this particular dollar bill are the words, "Dad's Last Dollar 1999."
Carol kept this dollar for more than two decades, only to be stolen from her.
The Ohio woman's memory of her father was inside her wallet, which was stolen recently. Now, she is doing everything within her means to find that dollar bill.

The Dad's Last Dollar 1999
The Ohio woman's dad passed away unexpectedly in 1999. When that happened, Carol was too heartbroken.
As Carol was going over her father's belongings, she found a dollar bill in his wallet and a few other things.
Ever since her father's death 21 years ago, Carol never dared to spend that dollar bill. She said in an interview with WTAP, "That's one thing that I had that no matter how broke I was, I'd never spend it."

The search for the Dad's Last Dollar 1999
As part of Carol's search for their dad's last dollar, her sister, Becky Clift, decided to bring the search online.
Becky shared the story on Facebook. After only four days, the post was shared thousands of times.
Many netizens were expressing how they will keep an eye for the bill. A lot were also hopeful that the this dollar bill will soon be found.
According to the Ohio woman, since her sister's post went viral, many people said that they would watch out for the dad's last dollar. Carol added, "We've got stores looking for it."

It could be too late to find dad's last dollar
Because of the writing on the bill, it is already considered as a damaged bill.
According to Becky, "The people at the bank said that they every few weeks send money back to the treasurer to be destroyed."
The family is now worried, this could have happened.
Right now, the Ohio woman has filed charges against the person who stole her wallet.
Nonetheless, they are still hopeful that their dad's last dollar will be returned to them.
Carol says it would mean the world to her if she will have the dollar bill back because this is something that no one can ever replace.
