Next month, "WWE 2K16," the new installment of the professional wrestling video game developed by Yuke's and Visual Concepts will finally be released. However, to stir excitement among fans who are drooling to play the game, 2K Sports released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming title.
According to GameZone, last year's title was not that impressive in comparison to the standard of previous WWE games. It has poor creative features and restricted gameplay that didn't really win the players' hearts.
However, 2K Sports is determined to win their players back with their upcoming title, which will showcase the largest roster in the entire history of WWE. The roster will not only include the current WWE stars, but it will also feature the NXT superstars, Divas and a plethora of wrestling legends.
For those who weren't already hyped with the anticipated video game, watch the new gameplay trailer below that showcases the roster and the new features in the title.
On the other hand, 2K Dev has also shared another video featuring a match between Sting and Set Rollins packed with action and power. According to WhatCulture, the match was set in the backdrop of the RAW arena featuring a surprising move that no one expected.
According to the report, Rollins hits The Stinger with a curb stomp. The controversial move was officially banned by WWE but the video below confirms that it is included in the gameplay.
The report suggests that The Architect's former finisher, which he popularly used to capture WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestMania, has been written out of history over several concerns on how violent it looks. It joined Randy Orton's punt, chair shots to the head and the original Pedigree on the long black-list of supposed dangerous or at least dangerous-looking moves.
The cameras cut to the crowd whenever a promo showcasing any of Rollins' uses of the controversial move plays, including that of the Mania main event. However, fans can replay the devastating finisher for themselves in "WWE 2K16."
With regards to the said move, former Shield member said, "It was a decision that was collectively made from a PR standpoint. Curb stomp just seemed like it was too perceptually violent, I guess you would say. I never hurt anyone with it. It was just something we didn't want kids trying on each other."
The short clip also shows the improved interaction between the crowd and the competitors in the ring. One will hear the crowd cheers "STING" and "This is awesome."
"WWE 2K16" will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and older home consoles on Oct. 27.
