Buying the meal

When the dad was going home that Friday, he decided that he wanted to buy some Mcdonald's. It was Friday, so he thought it was going to be okay.

Before ordering his meal, he called his wife to ask if she was interested in having some fast food meal. The wife said that she made chicken salad and preferred to eat that.

Then the father tried calling the daughter. He said, "I then called my daughter who answered quite loudly and rude(ly)."

When the father asked if his 10-year-old daughter was still about their argument that morning, the young girl hung up. The father tried to call again, but he got declined.

The Redditor thought, during that time, that he could have sent the young girl a message. However, he talked himself out of it. He said, "I figured she didn't need any McDonald's and so only bought myself a set."

At the dinner table

When the dad came home, he enjoyed his Mcdonald's meal while his daughter and wife were eating chicken salad. The young girl kept on glaring at his dad because of what happened.

The father was very much willing to share his meal, only if his daughter asked, but she did not.

After dinner, his wife called him childish for not buying their daughter a Mcdonald's meal.

The following day, the daughter mopped the hall, and her father got him the Mcdonald's meal.

AITA for only buying myself McDonald's when my daughter hung up on my call? from r/AmItheAsshole
