The spoiled abandoned dog
According to reports, the dog's note says that she was spoiled before her dad left surrendered her.
As a proof of being spoiled, the owner of the dog wrote, "My dad gave me my own couch to lay on."

The reason for the abandonment
The note that was with the dog when she was left tied to a tree indicated why the owner had to abandon the dog.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the owner of the dog lost his job. After losing his job, the dog's fur dad lost his home as well. That is probably the reason why he had to give up the dog.
In the note, the fur dad asked whoever would find the dog to give her a "good home and love." The owner of the dog also shared the dog's interests like playing wiht children and other dogs.

Surrendered pets due to the coronavirus pandemic
According to the Animal Control Director of Johnson County, Michael Delp, there is an increase in number of surrendered pets during the coronavirus pandemic.
However, Delp reminded the public that when owners are giving up dogs, they should be brought to shelters and not left alone.
Delp said, "Roadie could have been struck by a vehicle, could have been attacked by wolves or coyotes."
The Animal Control Center says that pet owners can call the local shelter for help.
