"Fifty Shades Darker" star Jamie Dornan was recently spotted on a beach holiday with his family, as news surfaced that the sequel has already found his new co-star.
According to US Weekly, Jamie was seen enjoying the beach without wearing any shirt last Saturday, Sept. 19, while on a holiday in Ibiza, Spain. Beachgoers got a good look at the actor's hunky body, who didn't seem to mind crawling on the sand and water on his hands and knees.
The sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey" will not be showing in theaters until February 2017, but the actor always keeps his form in shape. Looking really buffed in his holiday pics, the actor said once that in preparing for the part of Christian Grey in the movie, he works out at IronFit to maintain a well-toned physique. "I take decent enough care of myself anyway, so obviously I'm gonna up it slightly with training, but we don't have any intention to really bulk up," the actor said in an interview with Vanity Fair.
Meanwhile, back in April, fans of the movie got a first teaser of the sequel with a photo of Jamie as Christian. In it, the actor was wearing a mask and still looked dashing in a tuxedo as he checked himself in the mirror, according to Entertainment Tonight.
The second movie will reveal more of Christian's inner demons as his romance with Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) becomes more intense. "Fifty Shades Darker" will also feature a new character, Jake Hyde, who is Anastasia's boss.
Henry Cavill has long been rumored and favored for the role of Jake, but one of the film's producers, Dana Brunetti, has finally addressed this issue. "We're nowhere near casting," he told E! Online. "We haven't gotten into anything like that. We don't even have a casting director on it yet."
"Somebody posts something on some obscure blog and then it gets picked up by something a little less obscure and it keeps going. Fans are starting the news by saying things like [the Cavill casting]," Brunetti went on. For now, the only thing the producer can confirm is that no other star has been cast, except for Jamie and Dakota who are both reprising their roles.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" and "Fifty Shades Darker" are both based on the best-selling novel written by E.L. James. James is very much involved in making the movies, as is her husband Niall Leonard, who has been asked to write the screenplay for the second film.
