The hero boy from Telford Shropshire quickly moves when he finds his mom lying unconscious on the floor of their home. The boy saw the phone number 112 - the European emergency number with the same purpose as 999 - on the side of his toy ambulance, which connected him to a police operator.

Josh Chapman, 5, calls ambulance after his mom slipped into a coma using a number for emergency services that he saw on the side of his toy ambulance. He told the paramedics that his mom was playing cars and that her eyes just closed.

The speedy response of the boy that calls ambulance is what saves mom. Because of what he did, officers and paramedics were able to locate the hero boy and his brother.

Caroline, 41, Josh's mom, said that her son calls ambulance despite never using a phone before.

She was sitting in the living room with Josh and her 18 month-old sons, Harry when she suddenly collapsed. She said that she was playing cars with her sons, and out of nowhere, she just blacked out.

Caroline said that when she woke up, she is surrounded by paramedics, and a lot of toys, in which they explained to her that it was her son who called them and who saves mom.

She could not believe it at first because her son has never used a phone before. She was even surprised that a real emergency number was on one of his son's toys, but she is proud of the hero boy.

Carol added that Josh loves his cars and that the emergency vehicles are his favourites. So, when he saw his mom, he went straight to his favourite toy for help. He calls an ambulance and saves mom. She remembered that there were toy cars everywhere. By the time the police and the paramedics got to their house, Josh had already fallen asleep on his mom.

According to the Telford local policing commander, Josh was fearless. The hero boy stayed on the line while they were able to get to their home and make sure that his mom got medical assistance. The police also said that Josh proved that he would make a smart police officer in the future and that hopefully, they will see him again when he is old enough as a recruit.

The hero boy's story, where he saves mom, was shared on the West Mercia Police's official Facebook page in great detail. The police department also shared a link to a report which describes the incident in detail. The Facebook post was complete with an image of Josh, together with the police officers.

Josh's story was praised by people online saying that he will have a one very proud and grateful mother. Also, they are honouring the boy because as such a young age, he was able to think fast and smart.
