A 102-year-old WWII veteran finally completes her bucket list by going skydiving. According to the business, she went to Maryland to make a "parachute jump." First Lt. Vivian "Millie" Bailey proved that age is just a number.
On Sunday, Skydive Baltimore celebrated Bailey's thrilling accomplishment by posting on their Facebook page. It noted that it had been her long-time goal. It wrote that two sitting presidents honored Bailey.
Completes her bucket list
The veteran had one wish left on her bucket list. She had wanted to do a "parachute jump" like when president George [H.W.] Bush did when he was 75, 80, 85, and 90 years old. The post wrote that it is both honored and privileged to help make the veteran's dreams come true.

CBS affiliate WJZ reported that Bailey's jump was "completely" worthwhile. She told the outlet that it would be a thrill for her to do the "jump." She explained that she felt like she was by herself at one point while tumbling in the air.
Another memorable moment
Another memorable moment happened, along with the veteran's accomplishment. According to WJZ, Bailey was born in Washington, D.C., in 1918 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She became a member of the US Women's Army Auxiliary later on.
She explained to the outlet that she was the commander in charge of the unit WAC detachment. She earned many awards, including World War II Victory Medal, the Women's Army Corps Medal, and American Theater Medal.
In 1946, Bailey got discharged from being a first lieutenant and proceeded to work for Veterans Affairs. Other than that, she had also worked for the Social Security Administration. Before she retired in 1975, she had worked for the two roles for nearly 30 years.
Wanted to help other people
WJZ reported that Bailey stayed involved locally after she retired. She had already performed community service in Howard County for nearly 50 years. Not only she had helped many troops overseas and other people, but she had also helped local food banks and nearby schools by raising $10,000 on average yearly.
The veteran said that she tries her best to do something for someone every day. WJZ reported that Bailey received a "Making a Difference" police award apart from her military honors. President Donald Trump has also honored her besides the late Rep. Elijah Cummings.
Bailey had also met former President Barack Obama, as reported by the outlet. So she still has yet to meet former First Lady Michelle Obama next time. The veteran also told the outlet that there are a lot of things that she can look back on. She said she feels blessed and is thoroughly happy that she could do what she wants to do.
